Welcome to StudyatNova (“Nova”, “we”, “our”, “us”)-an all-in-one education ecosystem, owned and operated by SmartEdge Technologies Ltd. and headquartered in Kumasi, Ghana. This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs the terms under which Nova (StudyatNova.com) issues refunds and processes cancellations for all services, subscriptions, training packages, and platform add-ons. Nova is committed to providing the best possible learning and school management experience. However, we understand that circumstances may change, and we aim to handle all refund and cancellation requests transparently and fairly.

Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to:

  • Schools and institutions subscribing to Nova’s school management platform

  • Educators using Nova to deliver self-paced lessons or workshops

  • Organizations using Nova’s training and certification modules

  • Any paid subscription, add-on, or one-time purchase made through Nova

Free Trials & Demo Accounts

  • Nova may offer free trials or demo accounts for school admin users before committing to a paid plan.

  • During a trial, no charges will be made.

  • Once a subscription or package is confirmed after a free trial, the billing cycle begins, and the refund conditions below apply.

 

Subscription Cancellation Policy

A. School Subscriptions

  • Schools can cancel their upcoming subscription renewal any time before the next billing cycle.

  • To cancel, schools must contact Nova support via email or use the in-app cancellation request at least 5 days before the renewal date.

  • Cancellation of an active subscription during a billing cycle does not qualify for a refund.

B. Add-ons & Upgrades

  • All add-ons (e.g., additional users, features, modules) purchased during an active cycle are non-refundable.

  • Upgraded packages take effect immediately, and the amount paid is adjusted based on usage. No partial refunds will be given after an upgrade.

C. Educator or Organization Accounts

  • If you cancel your educator or training account subscription, your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

  • No refunds are issued for partially used periods. 

Refund Eligibility

Nova will issue refunds only under the following circumstances:

How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To initiate a refund or cancellation, send an email to: support@studyatnova.com 
Include:

  • Your account/school name

  • Invoice ID or payment reference

  • Reason for refund or cancellation

Our support team will respond within 3–5 business days, and eligible refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days through the original payment method.

 

Nova’s Rights

Nova reserves the right to:

  • Modify this policy at any time with or without prior notice

  • Decline refund requests that violate our terms of use or demonstrate abuse

  • Offer account credits instead of cash refunds at our discretion

Limitation of Liability

Nova is provided “as is.” We do our best to ensure the system is reliable and secure. However, Nova is not liable for:

  • Loss of data due to user error or third-party failures

  • Damages resulting from service interruptions or outages

  • Errors in content uploaded by schools, teachers, or users

You use the platform at your own risk and discretion.

 

Changes to Terms

Nova may update these Terms to reflect:

  • Platform changes

  • Legal requirements

  • Policy improvements

You will be notified of major updates via email or platform alert. Continued use of Nova after updates means you accept the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in courts located in Kumasi, Ghana.
